Virtualizing two routers from one device

Hi;

I have a 3800 series router with a DS3 interface that will be terminating my DIA. One G1 interface will connect to my ASA. I need to configure this 3800 router into a vircual router so that I can use two other Gi interfaces to serve as a router in front of my ASA. This is referenced as Cisco's version of the Netscreen Virtualization.

Normally, you would have an outside router to terminate the LEC Inetrnet circuit, a firewall, then an inside router. I need to double up and use one router as the outside and inside router.

Does anyone have any reference on how to set this up?

This is called VRF lite and is quite easy to configure.

The only problem is that when you search documentation about it using the box above, invariably most references come out about layer-3 switches, so just be patient, filter results to IOS and router and you will find how it's done.
