HI,
I do have a problem on and ASR920. I configured two service instances on one physical interface for different .1q VLANs. Both instances attach the same device into the same bridge-domain. This is intended to be used for two euqal services from a single CPE. Every instance needs to rewrite the incoming VLAN-TAG.
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/3
service instance 34 ethernet
encapsulation dot1q 34
rewrite ingress tag translate 1-to-1 dot1q 101 symmetric
bridge-domain 4 split-horizon group 0
!
service instance 35 ethernet
encapsulation dot1q 35
rewrite ingress tag translate 1-to-1 dot1q 102 symmetric
bridge-domain 4 split-horizon group 0
!
!
The problem here is , that the BD seems to be "NOT VLAN-aware" and learns the MAC from both instances which results in a FlipFlop behaviour and packetloss for one of the instances.
Is it true that the ASR920 can not distinguish between the same MAC-Adr with differen .1q tags int the same bridge-domain.
Thanks & Regards,
Rene
