VPC vs standard port channels

It has been suggested that for our connection from our UCS FI to our Catalyst 9300 stack that we create Virtual Port channels for redundancy.  A quick search informs me that the Catalyst 9300's do not support VPC's.  What's the advantage of VPC's over standard port-channels

Hi,

The advantage is being able to dual hone the port channel to two separate devices while the down stream device see's the two upstream devices as one. Redundancy is your advantage.

Traditional Port- channel is a - Increases the available bandwidth between two devices.

Virtual Port Channel - A Virtual Port Channel (vPC) is an enhancement to MEC that allows for the same sort of functionality — building a port channel across two switches — without the need for Stackwise or VSS.
