VRF Multicast leaking

Hello Everybody.

 

I'm thinking about the possibility to perform a vrf multicast leaking.

I've read thats it's a feasible solution.

I mean, I'm thinking about a receiver that receive a multicast stream originated in a differente source VRF.

 

So, through vrf unicast leaking the destination vrf can has the route to reach the source and perform SPT switchover but however I'm not understanding in which way the receiver can receive the first multicast packet from the RP.

 

I'm thinking about a simple network topology

The RP router has two vrf and it's the RP for both of them. It's perform a vrf mutual leaking (So, R2 has route to a ipotetic source connected to R1 and viceversa).

R1 has configured the rp-address toward RP router. The same for R2

 

When a source connect to R1 start to stream a multicast traffic (eg 239.1.1.1), R1 perform a pim register toward RP.

We can see the entry in the mroute vrf RED table.

 

When a receiver perform a igmp join for the same group (239.1.1.1) we can see the entry in mroute vrf BLUE table.

At this point, in which way it's possible for RP to pass the mcast stream from RED to BLUE?

It's similar for my understanding in a multiple RP topology on which we use MSDP to inform the peer RP about active source.

 

But however in my example, always if possible, how can work?
