Hi all ,
Need help please.
My existing chassis is 6506-E and SPV card is "VS-S720-10G"
Inventory :
PID: WS-C6506-E
NAME: "1", DESCR: "WS-X6708-10GE
NAME: "2", DESCR: "WS-X6708-10GE
NAME: "3", DESCR: "WS-X6748-GE-TX

PID: WS-F6700-CFC
PID: VS-S720-10G
PID: VS-F6K-MSFC3

Because, in Cisco Doc "Virtual Switching System (VSS) Q&A" , requirement :
"VS-S720-10GE-3C".
3C , is it diference with my card ?
is it support VSS, my exisitng chassis with new chassis (SPV card "VS-S2T-10G) ?

Hi,
Yes, your sup supports VSS.
The correct part numbers for the sups are:
VS-S720-10G-3C
VS-S720-10G-3CXL
They both support VSS. See table-3 in this link:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-6500-virtual-switching-system-1440/product_data_sheet0900aecd806ed759.html
is it support VSS, my exisitng chassis with new chassis (SPV card "VS-S2T-10G) ?
As long as you have an E chassis, yes.

Hi Reza,
Thank you.
I have read the document.
All document always mention supervisor with last part number 3C or 3CXL (PFC 3C ready).
No mention Spv without 3C . My spv card no 3C "VS-S720-10G".
Is it difference between "VS-S720-10G" vs "VS-S720-10G-3C" ?

The 3C is the PFC and your supervisor should have it (or the 3CXL).

so, VS-S720-10G" vs "VS-S720-10G-3C" is difference ?

The VS-S720-10G doesn't tell us which variant it is. It's either a -3C or -3CXL; yours is likely the former as they are less expensive.
What does show module show?
