hi! We are currently looking into subscribing IP VPN connection between our 2 branch offices to the main site. I was told by the telco that they will be providing the router and that single link at each site can be use to establish wan connection between sites and internet.
I'm very new to this, i was told that an Cisco ASA is required for this setup. Let me know how this can be done and the guideline on the configuration on the router and ASA + how;s the physicall connection like?....A simple config will be helpful. Thanks.

You can do that with routers also. The router also support more features and are easier to configure and troublehoot.
In either case, hire a consulant for the job, as if you try youself it can be very confusing stuff.
