Hi folks, imagine from a router name 'NAP', I do 'show ip route CRA' and I see the routing table info right there to CRA. Then I attempt to ping CRA and it times out.
If I go to CRA, I can ping NAP successfully.
I know already that if I do redistribution on edge routers PE2 and GWA, I can get to ping one another just fine.
So my question is really why a particular route appears on show ip route, but I can't ping it?
Please find attached detailed diagram and output for routers involved.

Destination router must have route for source address(interface from where ping is sourced) in order for it to respond. So in your case one of the reason for ping failure is that CRA router may not have route for the interface of NAP router from where you are sourcing your ping.
