Hello Everyone,

Is there a SOP for the cisco recommended backup and restore procedure for c8000v instances ? Specifically regarding what all changes need to be done during restore so that its can take over the active routers position in the network without having to change anything on the other connecting devices.

Rather instance, you should take the running configuration based on the deployment of SD-WAN.

If anything happened to that instance, you can build the instance new one, and restore the config, that what i think high level.

until any restriction check the document :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/C8000V/AWS/deploying-c8000v-on-amazon-web-services/deploy-c8000v-on-amazon-web-services.html

You can follow the procedure outlined here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/sd-wan/217606-replace-a-cedge-rma-router.html#toc-hId-48456586

In your case you will just have to deploy a new c8000v to AWS instead of receiving an RMA router as that document is describing
