Does Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) vEdge 1000 support CDP?

Title pretty much says it all. Our automated mapping application uses CDP and not seeing our newly installed Viptela vEdge 1000 remote devices on release 18.4. Not seeing an option to deploy that, or reference in Viptela documentation, so wondering if this is even possible?

No, vEdge does not support CDP, but IOS XE SD-WAN does (ISR1000, ISR4000, ASR1000).

But what is the future of Viptela SD-WAN Code? The IOS-XE variation, or the main code on the vEdge hardware platform?  If the answer is not 100% known, then vEdge should get LLDP or CDP ASAP!

I've been waiting years for CDP on Viptela since the acquisition, or at the very VERY least, LLDP.

NOTE: If I was running a 10 year old version of Debian GNU/Linux or OpenBSD, I'd have LLDP.
