Hello,

Checking here:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-2000-series-fabric-extenders/product_bulletin_c25-715278.html

I see:

Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E

32 x 1/10GBASE-T host interfaces and uplink module (8 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric interfaces [SFP+]; superset of Cisco Nexus 2232TM)

This leads me to believe it will only do 1G or 10G, other models have 100/1000 listed for host interfaces.

100 MBps does not appear to be supported on the 2232TM-E-10GE.

HTH,

Wes

Does the Avaya switch support 1000 mbps?

Make sure the interface on the Fex is set for:

- Auto-negotiation or statically set for 1000 and not 10000

-Is this copper or fiber?

-Duplex settings on the Avaya switch set correctly

- Does the link come up on the Avaya if you plug a PC in to the same link?

-Does the FEX HIF come up if you plug in a PC to it's interface

-Have you tried other cables/optics if applicable?

If you provide some further info, I will be glad to assist.

-Wes
