Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the server UCS C240 M4. I created a a virtual drive VD0 RAID0 from SAS MegaRAID and then i installed ubuntu server 17.10 on this virtual drive. All operations were ok, also the Grub but when I want to boot Ubuntu from this virtual drive it does not working. I also set the RAID controller for the boot sequence but nothing. What can I do? Thanks

Greetings.
I don't believe Ubuntu 17 has made it to interop matrix yet, so there aren't any notes or caveats related to it yet.
I would check the following:

Thank you for the answer.
I wanto to add:
1) I'm using Cisco 12G SAS Modular RAID Controller
2) I made 2 virtual drive RAID0, one of 2 HDD of 1.2TB (total 2.4) and the second one of 6HDD with the same size (total 7.2TB). I installed Ubuntu 17.10 on the second one.
3) In the your first 2 steps we are talking about this controller or about HBA that I'm not using.
However, I'm going to check the first 2 steps.

Ok, so does sound like you are hitting the 2TB size, and will need to make sure you have UEFI enabled.
When you install you Ubuntu ISO, you need to make sure you are booting to UEFI mode, and choose the UEFI virtual KVM DVD. This should alert the Ubuntu installer that it needs to partition the UEFI boot partition, and create a UEFI boot table entry for your Ubuntu installation.
If you had not made the UEFI accommodations prior to the last install, you will need to reinstall via the UEFI environment.
Thanks,
Kirk...
