Cisco 3110 (VBS) and uplinks to Aggregation Switches

We are building an IBM Blade server environment. We basically have (2) IBM chassis's. Each chassis has a 3110 in bay 1, and bay 2.

We are using the VBS feature on the 3110's to virtualize the switches.

My questions is on the uplink's from the 3110's to the CAT6500's. In the connection examples that I have seen, they do not show any uplinks from the designated "Master" 3110 or the designated "Secondary Master" 3110. I have not been able to find any documentation that explains why there should not be any uplinks on these switches. Can someone provide the resoning for this or point me towards some documentation.

Thanks

Re: Cisco 3110 (VBS) and uplinks to Aggregation Switches

There is no restriction on connecting uplink to Switch Master. If there is a restriction, it should be documented in the Config Guide.
