Cisco 5k/2k removing unused blade

We are consolidating ports on our 5k/2k LAN switches. What happens when we remove a 2k FEX from the bundle? Are the current port configs changed due to removing the FEX? ie. 103/1/1 is removed so all other FEX configs following it are changed to new slot configs???

Hi;

Whenever you add/configure N2K with N5K or N7K you are assigning FEX number (i.e 111). This FEX no. & associated port number will never change until you remove the FEX configuration (i.e Ethernet 111/1/1-48). In any case due to power failure, fiber issue N2K configuration will be intake with N5K/N7K and it will also not impact on other FEX numbering. None of the FEX will take the no. and port config of any faulty FEX.

Thanks & Best regards;
