Dear team,
I am having case, customer wants to convert HXAF220C-M5SX to UCS-C220C-M5SX
I mean, convert the HXAF220C Server back to a normal 220C Server
If there is instructions to upgrade the firmware, do you have a rollback guide ?
Thank you very much !

There is no special firmware that makes distinction between the Appliance and the standard C series server. They both take the same firmware bundles.
The HXAF220C-M5SX is sold as an appliance, with specific hardware bundle, and software.
You cannot change the appliance into standard UCS-C220C-M5SX, from a BIOS and PID perspective.

You can still put the server in standalone mode.
As noted "You cannot change the appliance into standard UCS-C220C-M5SX, from a BIOS and PID perspective."
However, there is nothing keeping you from configuring the server as though it were standard C220 M5SX.
Do keep in mind the units don't have raid controllers, as the HX solution was expecting the drives to be all jbod/pass through, so it does not make for a good HA standalone solution without adding raid controller, or configuring OS level software raid.

Hi Kirk J,
I don't quite understand your answer
I can let the HXAF220C-M5SX run independently as a normal server, without needing to be managed by the HX-FI-6332.
Thank!
