Does the 5K alos running NPIV in following topology?

I`m confusing with NPIV and NPV in UCS and N5K connection.

If i have the following topology, does N5K must running NPIV also ?

Is this talk about nested NPV?

Nested NPV has been discussed before; it's not supported and actually doesn't work.

Your N5k has to be running NPIV (meaning full functioning FC Switch)
