Can any one help me to understand what is FEX, why we use this and benefit of using FEX in very few sentences but in clear.

Fex = Fabric Extender. An extension of the switch fabric to a remote location outside of the chassis. Think of a FEX as a line-card in a traditional modular switch chassis, except instead of having to be installed inside the chassis, you just run a connection from the parent switch to the FEX and install it anywhere you want. The FEX has no management interface and is essentially "dumb", meaning all configuration is done on the parent switch and is pushed to the FEX.
