Hello
I am designing a new core and DC network.
Datacenter consist of primary and secondary datacenter, built as a VMware metro cluster.
I Will use a pair of 4500-x as my core (in vss config) and 2 pair of Nexus switches as datacenter switches - one pair in each DC each as a vPC pair.
All routing Will be handles by catalyst 4500-x, so no L3 needed in Nexus.
I Will need 10G connectivity to servers etc. With min. 24 SFP+ in each switch - FibreChannel for Storage is carried in separate FC switches at this time.
I need Help in selecting most appropiate Nexus model fir this case, as I am fairly new to Nexus.
Would a Nexus 3524x be a good Choice for this case, if I Will not need unified or IP bases Storage?
And if I need FibreChannel or IP bases Storage (iSCSI or VMware VSAN), is it then Nexus 5672UP I should be looking at due to unified function and larger port buffer size?
Please Help me select best option...
thanks
