I am trying to determine the SFP part numbers currently on my MDS 9513 switch.
When I enter "show interface fc x/x transceiver details", the part number and pid is empty. Example:
# show int fc 9/5 transceiver de
fc9/5 sfp is present
Name is CISCO-AVAGO
Manufacturer's part number is SFBR-5780APZ-CS2
Revision is G2.3
Serial number is AGD16268AAX
Cisco part number is
Cisco pid is
How can I determine the SFP's models? Why doesn't the part number show

Anyone have any feedback on this issue?

The Cisco PID for that specific transceiver is: DS-SFP-FC8G-SW=
Thanks,

Hi Kirk, how did you determine the PID from the output? Is there a tool which shows based on S/N? I have many other ports showing blank output so I need to figure them out too.

I am using internal tools to look that up.
In some cases you can do a serial lookup with your CCOID at https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/ but the serial # would likely need to be associated with equipment associated with your CCOID.
If you have a few more you want checked, I'm happy to oblige,, but I'm not looking up dozens ;)

Hi Kirk, thanks and for the offer of looking them up :) I'll try the serial number checker tool you have listed for now. Just wanted to know why the cli output does not show what I need for some SFP's?
