Hi, All
We have 2 93180YC-EX with FEX 2348TQ, NXOS: 7.0(3)I4(2).
And we have problem: fex ports don't communicate properly with connected devices.
Neither like L3 ports, nor like L2.
We have simplify our test configuration to troubleshoot this issue and use for test one N9K and one FEX.
So we erase config, perform initial setup, install and activate fex feature-set, configure port-channel for FEX and get fex module online.
After that all ports configured as L2 ports (mode access) and to use default vlan 1. We have connect two hosts via single link to FEX ports and they can't establish connection and don't reply via ICMP.
If we configure FEX ports as L3 ports and connect hosts, we don't get reply via ICMP from any side.
However, if we use onboard N9K ports all works fine.
What we should check, activate or configure to use FEX ports?

Hi,
looks like unsupported configuration.
Note: Cisco Nexus switches other than Cisco Nexus 9332PQ, 9372PX, 9372PX-E, 9396PX, and 9500 Series switches do not support FEXes (Fabric extenders).
See release notes:

Hi All
So far we have N7k--N5k---FEx setup all VLAN were configured on N7K.
but we are changin it to
N7k---->N9504---->N93180EY--->FEX
My Q is :
1.so when we connect FEXex on N93180EY , all port-security configs, dhcp snooping, bpdu guard will be put on N93180 is that right ?
2. What config we will be put on N9500 in this case..

Hello,
may be i'm late with my update, but Cisco's added FEX support for 93180YC-EX in NX-OS mode.
