No flogi from c series

Folks,

           I have a c series server connected to a nexus 7000 via the storage vdc using shared port. The c series does not have anything on it right now.

I do not see any flogi information on my storage vdc. Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Can you please provide additional details like - OS, adapter model, whether OS up and running on the server ?

            The C series has p81 card installed and currently has no OS on it. It is connected to the storage vdc of a nexus 7000.

I do not see anything in the show flogi database.

Are you attempting ot Boot from SAN?  If so, this sounds like a configuration problem.  Could be either a zoning or masking issue. 

To start, when the C-Series is booting, break into the BIOS with F2 - this will force the P81 VIC to try and keep attempting FLOGI.

Can you paste the N7K relevant config including the zoning configuration and port configuration.  We also need your topology and complete information in order to even hazard a guess at your issue.
