I am about to implement OTV for one of our customers, and before I do that I would like to know if there are any problems, that anyone of you faced while implementing it. My main concern is unknown unicast flooding suppression. As you may know there are many weird features and applications implemented in datacenter environments like clustering, heartbeats, different unix systems, etc. I know that there could be problem with NLBS, described widely on CCO, but does anyone have a list, or faced other applications which could have similiar limitations (unknown unicast nature)? What is the best work-around? To use static MAC mapping or provide separate L2 link (dark fiber) fo those services?
