Hi Team,
I have a major questions here for DCI solution using Double side vpc with Nexus 5600.
Will the vPC and HSRP/VRRP in the Context of DCI work in the same way as it works in Nexus7000.
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/design/vpc_design/vpc_best_practices_design_guide.pdf
We have DC1 and DC2 and are using DCI using double sided vpc with some vlans extended between these DCs we always want DC1 one to be forwarding the HSRP traffic as the OSPF cost is low for DC1 the traffic from outside always prefers DC1 in that way we can avoid assymetric routing.
So if we configure HSRP in all the four DCI devices with high priority for DC1 to make it active-standby then the traffic is always forwarded to DC1 but lets say in DC1 the Active router goes down , what exactly happens in that scenario will there will be 1 Active router in DC1 and a Standby router in DC2 with both of them forwarding the traffic or only the active router in DC1 will be forwarding the trafffic. Please clarify
