X.25 HNAS connection

Hello,

I have to do a HNAS connection between a Cisco router and an IBM mainframe. I have to use XOT, but I have never done a configuration like this and documentation is not clear enough.

Can anybody share a configuration or give me some clues? How do x.25 routes look like (I assume there's no x.121 address in the IBM side?

Regards,

Ruben

Hi,

I've previously worked on X.25 host enviroments. May I know what u mean by X.25 HNAS? Are you trying to configure this directly to an IBM MF? WHat's the MF model, OS and network platform availble?

Hi Ruben,

You can connect HNAS and the cisco router. You may check out the following URL for the XoT. You may use the first configuration for your setup.

Thanks,

Hakan.

Hello Hakan,

there's one thing that I don't understand and I don't know how to configure...

I assume that you create a x25 route pointing to a x.121 address and then specify the xot remote ip address, but in this case, tha ibm host has a x.121 address??? How should I create the route?

Thanks,

Ruben
