Once every 24 hours, during the maintenance period for the customer site, the configuration for each supported device is backed up if it has changed.
The five most recent backup operations are displayed on the Backups tab in the Device Information window. Click on the down arrow icon to open the Actions drawer to access Restore, Download, and Delete options.
This tab is only displayed for Cisco devices that support configuration backup and restore through the OnPlus Portal.

For selected Cisco devices, you can back up, restore, or upload device configuration using the options on the Backups tab.
- Valid access credentials are required for backup and restore operations. Some Cisco devices may require an enable password, in addition to login credentials. This can be entered on the Connect tab in the Device Information window for a device.
- Click Backup Now to initiate an on-demand backup of the device configuration.
- Up to five configuration backups can be archived for each device. The Origin column indicates whether the backup was generated directly from the device or uploaded to the device.
- Optional comments that were entered for a configuration backup file are also displayed here. Select the backup file and open the details drawer to edit or add comments.
- If the Backups tab or any of its options do not appear in the Device Information window, it means that the feature is not supported for the device via the OnPlus portal.
Restoring a Device Configuration File
Click Restore File to apply a previously uploaded or backed up Device Configuration file.
Uploading a Device Configuration File
Use the Upload File option to upload a device configuration file to the portal. This provides a way for you to distribute configuration to target devices. Since devices vary in how configuration files are interpreted, you are responsible for the completeness, format, structure, and integrity of the configuration file being uploaded to the device. For example, some devices can accept and apply partial configuration files; other devices may replace the entire configuration file.
