The following document details the few simple steps needed to connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to the UC 500 using the Cisco VPN client available on the device.

Prerequisites
This configuration note assumes the following:
- The UC 500 has a public IP or valid DDNS name associated with its WAN interface (Fast Ethernet 0/0)
- iPhone or iPod Touch version 2.0
- Internet connectivity available for iPhone (Wifi or 3G) and iPod Touch (Wifi)
Procedure
Enabling the VPN Server on the UC 500

Navigate to Configure >> Security >> VPN Server and enable the EZVPN Server on the UC 500. Create usernames for your remote VPN users, define an IP address range within your local Data subnet and select a Group pre-shared key for authentication:

a. Starting from your home navigation view, select Settings >> General

b. Click on Network:

c. Next, click on VPN:

d. Select Add VPN Configuration:

e. Create a profile called UC520 and enter the following information:
Server: WAN IP or DNS name of the UC 500
Account and Password: credentials for the VPN user added in CCA.
Group name and Secret: Group name and preshared key as configured in CCA

f. Click Save when you are done.

To test and use your VPN Connection, turn it on and verify the VPN letters appear on your iPhone or iPod Touch screen. At this point, you are connected to your private network and you can access and local resource from the device.
