Hey all, I've recently purchased an SG200-50 to setup a network in my house. I have a SURFboard SBG6580 modem through my cable provider (BrightHouse), a Time Capsule providing my wireless network, and the switch.
I am at a loss on setup, and admittedly a novice at network setup. When I plug the modem directly to the laptop, I get internet. However when I plug the modem into the switch, and the laptop also into the switch, there's no internet. I've tried all sorts of thing the past 24 hours, and have no idea what to do now!
Please help, thanks.

In case anyone else has this issue, I will respond with the fix.
Spoke with Cisco customer care on the phone, and it was a very easy fix (whoops). My router (Apple Time Capsule) was handing out DHCP on the 10.0.1.* network, and the switch had an IP of 192.168.1.254 (I had also tried dynamic IP setting on the switch).
Changing the switch's IP to a static one on the 10.0.1.* network (just used 10.0.1.254) fixed so anything connected to the switch now connects to the internet as well.
