SG350XG-24T-K9 10G ports unstable

IMAGO GmbH
Level 1
Level 1

We have several SG350XG-24T-K9 switches with multiple rj45 ports loosing their 10G connections every few seconds and going on and off all the time. Already changed cables and tried new firmware without success. This also happens with different server hardware connected to the switch ports.

Are there any known hardware defects or software issues with this switch series? What can we do to get stable 10G connections? Any software settings we could check?

Is this a single switch or stack ?  is this switch connected to network ?  any spanning tree loops or L2 loops ?

Hi,

Thanks for your post.

Kindly request you to open a service request with us by calling our frontline team.

With issue will have to check with the following:-

-> Type of cable been used.

-> What speed/Duplex showing both ends switch and PC

-> Test with different mode (manual and auto)

Best regards,

Hi,

- All the switches are used as single devices, no stacking.

- Physically there are loops for redundancy purposes, but RSTP or MSTP is configured and single ports are blocking as expected.

- We use shielded/foiled cat6 cables only. Length between 50cm and 3m.

- Ports connected to esxi hosts, hw mgmt interfaces and even uplinks between two switches of this kind are affected randomly.

- Port settings are all set to auto -> 10G full; 1G full on mgmt.

Kind regards

Do you see any logs on the device, If end device not capable of 10GB , setup to 1GB and check for 1 or 2 device.

Hi,

Log just tells:

Warning %LINK-W-Down: te1/0/2

Informational %LINK-I-Up: te1/0/2

Followed by stp status forwarding.

Sometimes there are multiple up/down messages logged in one second.

Kind regards
