Hi.

I have a question about compatibility with Switch Cisco Poe or PoE+

I have a client with Zebra Wlan architecture and He has AP6521, He will buy Cisco Switches SMB but his provider told him that is necessary using PoE+ to connect APs.

I was checking the technical Data sheet and I found that not is necessary PoE+, only PoE. I would like to know if somebody have experience with Zebra AP.

I don´t know if recommend Switches SMB SG200 with PoE support or SG300 with Poe and PoE+ support

reference Link.

Thank you !!!

Hello,

Please refer to our SG200 and SG300 datasheets to check which switches and how many ports per switch support the PoE 802.3af standard which is also supported by the Zebra AP (at least as per the documentation you provided).

SG200 Datasheet: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-200-series-smart-switches/data_sheet_c78-634369.html

SG300 Datasheet: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-smart-switches/data_sheet_c78-610061.html

The information can be found in the "Power over Ethernet (PoE)" section.

Please also note and advise your client that the switch provided power threshold should not be more than the total amount of power consumed by all the APs.

Kind regards,
