2.10.0.3 - Blank CSPC screen after running discovery jobs

After running a handful of discovery jobs (using CDP and IP Ranges), the CSPC GUI will stop responding. After reloading the browser window, I am presented with a blank screen and no longer receive the login menu. The browser tab stops spinning as if it completed loading the page, though nothing shows up. This happens repeatedly after restoring the VM to a known-good state and re-running discovery jobs. Usually a couple jobs will complete successfully. The problem starts at some point during a larger IP Range discovery, but when exactly is not predictable.

CDP and IP Range discovery jobs worked without issue in CSPC 2.9.

Troubleshooting steps taken -

- Attempted to load the GUI in an incognito window. No change.
- Tried another browser. No change.
- Ran the "service adminshell restart" from the CSPC CLI (logging in as 'collectorlogin' -> su root). No change.

Thank you in advance for any additional troubleshooting steps and suggestions that can be provided.

After further investigation, the behavior was being caused by having "Serial Number Duplicate Check" enabled under Settings -> Discovery Settings. Changing this to "No" allowed discovery jobs to run without issue.

Hi Jesse88350,

Good day to you! Hope you are doing well.

I will be helping you regarding the issue you are facing . Please share the details mentioned below so that we can further troubleshoot with the issue:

1. Error of the screenshot after running discovery jobs.

2. VM specifications

3. How the CSPC was upgraded to version 2.10.0.3 .

Let us know if there are any queries.

Thanks & Regards

Hi aibhatna,
Please see below.

1. Screenshot of the blank screen is attached
2. ESXi Version = 6.5, VM Guest OS = CentOS, 8 vCPUs, 8 GB memory, 500 GB storage
3. Upgraded via the GUI

Hi Jesse88350,

Thanks for sharing the required details. Since the CSPC is upgraded via GUI, this might be reason the CSPC GUI is not responding correctly. We always recommend to upgrade the CSPC via CLI only. You can either upgrade by transfer or LCM method.

Hence, please upgrade the CSPC again via CLI to version 2.10.0.3. Sharing the below link for the reference:

Please let us know if there any queries further.

I have redeployed the OVA and upgraded to 2.10.0.3 via CLI as per the provided instructions. The blank screen returned again in the middle of an IP Range discovery.

Hi Jesse88350,

Please share the WebEx availability and email address in PM (Personal Message) so that we can help you in further troubleshooting on the case.

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for Joining the WebEx session, sharing the keynotes :

• CSPC GUI was not accessible
• Restarted CSPC & Conscotgw services
• Removed caches and cookies
• Restarted VM & checked specifications
• Checked the SP & JEOS logs
• GUI was successfully accessible on the account
• Devices in network were successful getting discovered on the as well on CSPC GUI.

Hence, GUI was successfully accessible & devices in the network were also getting discovered on the account.

Thanks & Regards
