I had this issue as well and had to configure the appliance using the CLI. See this article.

Realize that this is an old post, however we faced the same issue when attempting to deploy 2.8.1.4 Build 4.  The appliance was being deployed in a vendor DMZ where the firewall was configured to not allow ICMP/ping to the gateway IP address.  Once we enabled ICMP/ping on the firewall the IPv4 configuration script was successful.  Hope this might be helpful to someone else as it looks like community support is the only option available for the Cisco CSPC appliance (tried to open a case with TAC, but it didn't go anywhere).
