Update CSPC 2.9.1 to 2.9.1.5 Stuck Apply-in-progress

Hi,

Installed CSPC 2.9.1 Got message in GUI that updates were available. Could not use the GUI as that is just not working properly in the browser.
Used the CLI upgrade method as follows:

Step1:
admin# download sp-30.2.1-5-0-lnx64
admin# show download
Version : sp-30.2.1-5-0-lnx64
Download Location : /opt/LCM/tmp/sp-30.2.1-5-0-lnx64-package.zip
Status : Downloaded
Start Time : Feb/01/2023 07:56:58
End Time : Feb/01/2023 08:01:58
Reason For Failure : -

Step 2: admin# apply sp-30.2.1-5-0-lnx64
Waited for 2 days but still the following shows
admin# show apply
Version Number : sp-30.2.1-5-0-lnx64
Status : Apply-in-progress
Start Time : Feb/01/2023 08:03:15
End Time : -
-----------------
There are no running processes with either apply or install using this command: ps -aef | grep apply

The strange thing I did notice is that when I did a show version -d before applying the patch, the JeOS Component: Hardened CentOS showed version 8.1 patch#0, but afterwards it showed version 7.9 patch#2009. That is atleast one thing that doesn't make sense.

Hello Steven,

Good day to you!

I have acknowledged this post.

I understand your issue, this has happened earlier as well.

Since the three methods have been applied, the CSPC most likely gets corrupted. I would request you to Please Re-deploy the machine with CSPC 2.10.0.1 OVA since it is the latest one. and then you may upgrade it to 2.10.0.4.

2.10.0.4 is stable version.  I would recommend using CLI method only as it applies both patches correctly.

That's all from my side.

If you have any further queries, please contact me on my Cisco mail: dbourai@cisco.com

Thanks & best regards,
Devashish Bourai.

Thank you for your reply, Devashish. I have re-isntsalled CSPC and upgraded to version 2.10.0.4.

Will test if all is working now.

Sure Steven!

If you have another issue with this, i would request to open a new case and then we will assist you.

Best regards,
Devashish Bourai.
