Will CSPC update device properties, e.g. host name, OS version, or model, dynamically or would the managed device need to be removed and re-added?

Hello @pperreault ,
Thank you for contacting Cisco.
The CSPC is capable of dynamically updating this information without the need for manual removal and re-addition of devices.
Basically if during a discovery operation the CSPC detects any changes in device properties, such as a new OS version or a changed host name, it updates these details in its inventory.

This doesn't seem to be the case for us. We are running version 2.10 (an update is available). When a discovery is started with option "Rediscover the currently managed and non-managed devices," the updated properties such as host name are learned and can be exported once the discovery is completed. However, the previously learned device properties are not updated as a result of the discovery. Any suggestions?
