Good morning.
After installing on and running the NCM connector from our Solarwinds server, the process identified and started processing 571 items/nodes in batches of 25. Once it has finished processing all the 571 items, the connector reported the following error (screenshot attached):
Report Failed
Error:
Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {DF3FAF55-8363-A493-BC9F-21B0BAECDA04} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80131700 Failed to load the runtime. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131700)
As a result, no items are uploaded to Cisco’s SNTC portal
These are the versions of the software/applications that we are running:
- Server OS version: Windows server 2016
- Solarwinds NCM version 8.0
- SolarWinds NCM Connector for Cisco SmartAdvisor version 2.0.3
This is the procedure that we’ve followed for the NCM connector’s setup: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/services/sntc/solar_winds_ncm.html
Can anyone, please, shed some light on what is failing and offer any advice to resolve this issue?
Thank you,
Alvaro

Hello,
That looks to be an error with NCM. Please first reach out to Solarwinds for further support on the error code.
Thanks,
Ye
