I have a Cisco 5020 with FEX 2232 cards installed. We have 10Gb connectivity to the R720 servers with Brocade CNA card installed.
We have tried to bring the connectivity between these two devices using the Cisco 10Gb cables (SFP-H10GBCU5M), but no luck.
• Server = Dell R720
• C.N.A. Card = Brocade 1020
o Driver 3.01
o SFP+ Cable Brocade XBR-TWX-0301
• Switch = Cisco Nexus 2232 10G Fabric Extender
o IOS version of the switch - system: version 4.2(1)N2(1)
Can anyone please let me know if this HW would work? Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks
Mikey

Could you please make it clear where the link is failing? Is it between 5020 and FEX or CNA to switch ?
Do a and see what it is.
c5020-3# show fex detail
If you have problem configuring FEX to 5020, look at the following command sequence. In this example, 4 Links eth1/20- to eth1/23 are joined to fex.
The last command pinning is used to balance the uplinks between 5020 and FEX.
