Cisco IVR Issue

Hello,

i have added a zone to the active IVR zoneset. After activating the zoneset, i can see the added zone on all switches. But the new zone is not activated, i can't see the WWN on my storage system. The other IVR zones are working perfectly, also the other IVR zones in the concerning VSANs.

We have two Core switches, and three edge switches.

After a little investigation, i noticed that in Fabric Manager the following situation:

If i take a look on the CFS tab by IVR, i see that i can choose for three options:

     - commit changes

     - clear lock

     - abort changes

Because the three edge switches have not enabled CFS, the fabric has been in the lock state, i suppose.

I think the best option is to "abort changes", but i am not sure....

Do all the switches have IVR enabled? Does it show that there are pending changes in CFS?

Hi Timo,

It is highly recommended when using IVR to enable Cisco Fabric Services (CFS) on all IVR-enabled switches. Otherwise it may cause mismatched active zone sets if an error occurs during zone set activation.

Hence I would initially suspect the ROOT Cause of the Issue is due to the edges switches not having IVR CFS enabled.

Suggest -

1. Abort Changes

2. Ensure/Enable IVR feature on all IVR swithces

3. Ensure/Enable IVR CFS on all IVR swithces

4. Re-apply changes
