Device Manager on 5548

Hi,

Have a pair of new 5548UPs here running 5.2(1)N1(1a) with SPS license. My past experience with the 5Ks has been that I could access Device Manager by pointing a browser at the mgmt0 IP, and launching the installer from there. On these new switches, I get a 404 error when I try that, and if I do "feature http" I then get what looks like an empty directory listing. Is Device Manager still supported/included on this NX-OS version? I certainly hope so, as DCNM is very much overkill for this environment.

here is the link that explains the behavior ...

Changed Software Features

The following software features have changed in this release:

Beginning with Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1b), HTTP Server is not supported.

Device  Manager is no longer packaged with Cisco Nexus 5000 NX-OS releases. You  can download Fabric Manager/DCNM-SAN software (which contains Device  Manager) directly from Cisco.com. For additional information, see the  Release Notes for Cisco Fabric Manager.

Support for http on nexus switches was removed a while back hence you cannot download Device Manager. So what you are seeing is expected. DCNM-SAN standalone is way to go for the current NX-OS version 5.2.1 on 5k.

Thanks,
