Hi
I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I cannot get VNX 5700 MirrorView initiators to register, kind of lost. Here is the setup.
Got three data centre and each have two MDS switches (A & B) with VNX 5700 storage system.
Got set up like this to keep it simple setup for MDS Switch A
Prod Source (VSAN10) –> DR 1 Target (VSAN11)
Prod Source (VSAN10) –> DR 2 Target (VSAN21)
IVRZones_Prod_to_DR1 are as follow:
Prod PWWN (vSAN 10) --> DR 1 PWWN (vSAN11) via transit vSAN 100
IVRZones_Prod_to_DR2 are as follow:
Prod PWWN (vSAN 10) --> DR 2 PWWN (vSAN21) via transit vSAN 200
FCIP link up and I am able to ping each other interface IP address. FCIP is in a port-channel as there are two fcip links to each DR site from switch A.
So here is the catch, Prod to DR 1 works fine but cannot get Prod to DR 2 work, any thoughts?

Hi
if your FCIP links are showed TRUNKING in the "show interface brief | in fcip", your tunnel is ok.
I think your problem is your IVR vsan-topology...you should use the same transit vsan as a common point from those ends
could you send us the #ivr vsan-topology active output
regards

Thanks dakester. Confirm have the same part number installed with HW version being 1.0 and software 5.0(1a). Do you know what is the latest version or stable version I should be installing?

Hey dakester,
Firstly thank you for finding the field notice. Performed upgrade on one of the switch to version 5.0(8) tonight which went fine. After the upgrade I was able to perform fcping and was geting respone. However, still was having problem with MirrorView initiators was still not logging in. Tried running ivr refresh command but still no joy. In the end I had to created the zoneset and all was fine. Doing the second switch upgrade tomorrow.
Thank you again and also to everyone who responded to this post.
Cheers
