After I ran 'write erase' command and reloaded switch, running 'sh running-config diff' gives me this result

switch# sh running-config diff

Building Configuration ...

diff: /mnt/cfg/1/ascii/system.cfg: No such file or directory

switch#

Any help ?

There is no startup config to compare against after a wr erase. If you do a show startup, you will get:

switch# sh startup-config

No startup configuration

You were right, I somehow thought it would create new empty startup-config. Where does it take ip address of mgmt0 then ? After restart ip address was available, admin password was set too. Which parameters are kept and where ? And is there a way how to restore all default settings ?

Thank you

The IP address for mgmt is keep on a separate file and the admin password should be just the default admin password after a wr erase.
