hi, everyone:
could you please help me ? for how to solve the port initializing ?
the port is connect to UCS FI 6324.
 mds9124# show interface fc1/6
fc1/6 is down (Initializing)
 Hardware is Fibre Channel, SFP is short wave laser w/o OFC (SN)
 Port WWN is 20:06:00:2a:6a:89:ec:02
 Admin port mode is auto, trunk mode is on
 snmp link state traps are enabled
 Port vsan is 102
 Receive data field Size is 2112
 Beacon is turned off

is very old ! please update your MDS 9124, eg.

Is the port on the UCS FI native FC ?
is the port on the UCS FI in VSAN 102
is the UCS FI in FC End host mode
Has the FC port on the UCS FI a FC SFP ?
Is the MDS configured with NPIV ?
PS.
Is this the same problem as

has ever try to shutdown and no shutdown port, but the result is same .
i do not understand,what cause can put a port into initializing ?
and how to found out the cause ?

I seem to be running into this issue on a brand new UCS 6332 with Nexus 5672 (7.1(0)N1(1a)).
This new UCS has a OUI of 00:3a:9c
Do you know which Nexus version supports this new OUI?
I am able to bring up the ports , but not as part of a SAN PC.

There is a bug from November - https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvn39155
However it doesn't have a fixed release.

Hi,
Sometimes we have the same problem and almost every time the problem is not in "our side" (switch/port) almost always the problem is a problem with port of the hba or fiber cabling. If checking the hba's in the other side and fiber cabling doesn't work I would check the gbic's/sfp in switch side.
