We recently got a 3560CX (WS-C3560CX-12PC-S). Where it is currently situated seems extremely hot. So to check the temp we logged onto the switch but received the following which does not make sense:
According to this we would not get an error until the temp reaches 89 deg Celsius. It is currently very hot to touch (60 degrees according to the output) so is there some sort of error with the firmware/config. Just to highlight this part of the config has not been touched (we are unable to set the Yellow threshold - sys env is not recognised in any mode of configuration).
It's as if the figures are for Faherenheit but the reading are celsius (we checked the spec sheet for the operating environment and we are currently way over it).
Thanks

Many thanks Leo - don't suppose there is anyway, from the switch, to get the ambient/environmental temperature?

I have the same issue. Based on the link below the temp should be much lower. Where is the system temp value read from? If it is air flow as you state then why doesn't it report that reading? It doesn't even match the snmp data I am getting on my collector.
53 C is HOT(127F)
3560cx-1#show env all
SYSTEM TEMPERATURE is OK
System Temperature Value: 53 Degree Celsius
System Temperature State: GREEN
Yellow Threshold : 89 Degree Celsius
Red Threshold : 96 Degree Celsius
