We just bought 2 350's. I have two of the same vlans on both. I ping across to each vlan's interface with no problem, but ping times are NEVER <1 and occasionally they jump to 15ms but not for very long.
The switches are tunked together on a table off the network with on one PC connected to configure the both of them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've worked in established environments with catalyst but I'm at a smaller company now and had to configure them on my own. By no means am I network guru.

what is the config on both the switches ? did you configured anything or just conencted the cable and started pinging ?
is this ping end PC to end PC ? or switch to switch ?

Thanks for your quick response. I really appreciate your help!
Here a rough outline I'll use generic ip
SW1 SERVER'S
Ports 1-47 untagged VLAN 5
VLAN5 Default VLAN 169.169.2.254 IPV4 Adapter
VLAN10 PC VLAN 169.169.10.254 IPV4 Adapter
PORT 48 tagged Trunk ALL
SW2 PC's
Ports 1-47 untagged VLAN 10
VLAN5 Default VLAN 169.169.2.253 IPV4 Adapter
VLAN10 PC VLAN 169.169.10.253 IPV4 Adapter
PORT 48 tagged Trunk ALL
Nothing else at this point. I haven't setup the IP-Helper Address either or the default Gateway to route to the firewall (which nether would matter it is not on the network yet but just or clarity)
