I have DHCP setup for a voice vlan and another test vlan with a different scope. Phones connect and they work Until they are rebooted. On reboot It fails to restart "DHCP: waiting for IP".
Reviewing the DHCP bindings I see that the Address Type for the phone is "MAC address".
If I delete the binding and restart the phone. It now binds and indicates Address Type "client identifier". So far they work surviving further phone reboots. I don't know if that will continue to be the case.
I've not been able to figure this out and how to prevent it. Not too excited about putting this into production potentially having to delete bindings and restart devices.
Is there a setting I've missed that will force the initial binding to require the Client ID?
Thank you.
