I currently have a Cisco SG350-10 and am looking to get another Cisco switch for my home network, and just saw that Cisco has a Catalyst line that's priced around the same. I have looked at the Data Sheets and my takeaways are that they have a very similar feature set, but I like the appeal of a full blown IOS instead of a watered down one on the SG350-10. I also know that the there is a difference between Catalyst WS-C2960L-SM-8TS and WS-C2960L-8TS-LL. The WS-C2960L-8TS-LL seems to have a more configurable Lan Lite image that allows CLI configuration, from what I read, than the Smart Managed counterpart WS-C2960L-SM-8TS.
Do you know the biggest differences or a direct comparison between the specs and capabilities between the SG350-10 and the WS-C2960L-SM-8TS or WS-C2960L-8TS-LL?
Some Comparisons I made between the two lines were:
WS-C2960L-SM-8TS
Power Consumption 13W
Bluetooth Config Access with Optional Dongle
Mostly Web GUI Configuration
zero-touch deployment
WS-C2960L-8TS-LL
Power Consumption 13W
Bluetooth Config Access with Optional Dongle
CLI or Web GUI Configuration
Full IOS with Lan Lite Features
zero-touch deployment
SG350-10
Power Consumption 9W at 110V
Layer 3 Capabilities
Can do Web GUI or CLI configuration
Also should this go into a different section under the Catalyst or Switching forums?
Thank you for your assistance.

The SG switches are designed for mini/small and medium corporates, in terrms of small deployment they are very good actually. Limited CLI and more of GUI compare to Catalyst.
The cost, throughput between a SG and Catalyst are considerable.
There is good comparision also full specification for you to easy decide :

Hello Chris,
As you have found, the SG350 and the 2960L have very simular feature/functions. The main difference is the SG350 is purpose built to be easy to manage via the web GUI. If you prefer the IOS CLI, then the 2690L is a good choice. The SG350 does include 1 full year of small business TAC support. No contracts required for the TAC support or OS upgrades on the SG350.
