I have a SG110-24HP-NA unmanaged switch, purchased used cisco IP phones model #7960 and am trying to get the phones working. I have charter as my internet provider using a Arris TM804G modem. Phones are not working, what am I missing?

Hello,
Your situation is the opposite. The phones get the power, but there is no connection.
Maybe they are in different vlan or the static IP address is set, but it is from different network. Also they can be in the right network, but SIP server (PBX) is with different IP address and the phone cannot connect to it. Please check or give us more details.

This SG110 is unmanaged so how would I check the VLAN assignments? Could it possibly need a firmware update? If so, how do I do that that on an unmanaged switch? I Installed a cheap Netgear I had laying around to get some of the phones working at least. Would love to get all of them working on the Cisco switch, though.
