Copy running-configuration from cisco small business switch to TFTP using SNMP via MIB table "CISCOSB-COPY-MIB"

Hello,

in our enviroment we use a cisco small business switches (Sx200, Sx300, Sx500, Sx250, Sx350). I wanted to try copy configuration from switch to remote TFTP server like in this manual https://community.cisco.com/t5/networking-documents/how-to-copy-configuration-files-to-and-from-the-cisco-ios/ta-p/3127752. I downloaded a MIB tables (1.4.1.03) for switch SG200-26 (firmware is latest 1.4.9.4). I tried to do a snmpset with that OID from the manual but no sucess. I also browsed a MIB tables for this switch but there is no MIB table with that OIDs. So then I found a MIB table "CISCOSB-COPY-MIB". In this MIB are very simillar OID names, but prefix is not "cc*" but "rl*". For example "ccCopyEntryRowStatus" (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.96.1.1.1.1.14) is simillar to "rlCopyRowStatus" (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.17). But when I tried to do snmpwalk or snmpset with this OID again, no sucess.

I think that from the MIB "CISCOSB-COPY-MIB" can be this process done by this "new" OIDs, or am I wrong?

rlCopySourceLocation (method TFTP)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.3 i 3

rlCopySourceFileType (select running-config)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.7 i 2

rlCopyDestionationFileType (select backup-config)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.12 i 4

rlCopyDestionationIpAddress (IP address of TFTP server)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.9 a X.X.X.X

rlCopyDestionationFileName (name of backup config)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.11 s nameOfBackupConfig.txt

rlCopyRowStatus (start process)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.87.2.1.17 i 1

Can you please help with it?

Thank you a lot

Hi,

I know that there is this option. But we have circa 40 switches and for comfort I do not want to connect to every switch separetly. I want to do a script, which will automatically backup configuration from every swtich every day. This is why I want to use SNMP with OID.

I also use the Small Business range, I'd be delighted to find out how to get this working.

I'm finding it a bit confusing. On the product datasheet for SG350:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-smart-switches/data-sheet-c78-737359.html

It lists CISCOSB-copy-MIB (under Private MIBs).

When you download the MIBs for the switch however, it's named CISCOSBcopy.mib, and doesn't contain any OID values. If I import the MIB in Paessler MIB Importer it fails, presumably because there's no OID values inside.

I'm just dipping my toes into SNMP so I'm not overly familiar with it, but I've only managed to return valid information using SNMP Walk from OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1. I can get/set the values shown in the result, and that's it.

Could anyone shed some light onto why the backup part doesn't seem to work?
