Does SG500X support redundant Power Supply?

Does SG500X support the following

  • redundant Power Supply?
  • PIM sparse mode (PIM-SM), PIM dense mode (PIM-DM), and PIM sparse-dense mode?
  • Layer 4 prioritization: enables prioritization based on TCP/UDP port numbers
  • Uni-Directional Link Detection (UDLD) — monitors a link between two switches and blocks the ports on both ends of the link if the link goes down at any point between the two devices

Thanks in Advance

Hi Sanothorn, here is the datasheet and admin guide links and FAQ-

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps10903/ps12128/c78-695646_data_sheet.html

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/csbms/Sx500/administration_guide/500_Series_Admin_Guide.pdf

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-15764

1.) To my knowledge, there is not a redundant internal power supply

2.) The cpu is able to analyze which ports are receiving PIM, DVMRP, or IGMP query protocols when IGMP snooping is enabled

3.) Yes, you may make an ACL to discriminate traffic based off tcp/udp ports (Advanced QoS mode)

4.) The switch does not supprt UDLD

Hello Tom,

Thanks for the quick response.

I couldn't find the commands for pim sparse and dense mode in SG500 Admin guide.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/csbms/Sx500/administration_guide/500_Series_Admin_Guide.pdf

I believe the SG500X doesn't support 802.1v.

Thanks
