I am doing a lab in GNS for EtherChannel facing issue.

below are thinks done with both switches..

1. port range f1/1 - 3

2. channel-group 1 mode on

3. switchport mode trunk

when doing :- show interface trunk its showing status not-trunking.

What Switch image are you using in GNS3 ?

try shut and no shut both the sides. - still not coming up

check is the interface in admin mode up ? show interface fa1/1 to 1/3

Note : Most of the best practice even ports, that means should be 2 or 4 or 6 example ? Looks like you try to make 3 ports in PO not a best practice, but can be done.

your process amazing for making etherchannel  

your ports will be in Suspend mode by your method.

Anyway follow below steps

1-interafce range 

2. switch port mode trunk

3.channel-group 1 mode on

in your lab below steps should be enough.

in current senerio go on port-channel group and make it trunk--- if its work for you..

Yes port was in suspend status .

just try port-channel 1  and make trunk command on this now its showing Up in use.

keep remember 1st you need to make trunk then channel-group..
