Hi,
I am configuring CBS-350 24 Port switch that needs to be added in the production environment.
Currently, the GVRP is disabled on this switch.
I need to know while the GVRP is disabled, can I connect that switch with core switch 4500. I mean CBS switch will not impact the VLANs on the core switch and other access switches.
I have core switch model: 4500X-16
Access Switches: 3850-48-S
As I know that in CBS, vtp is replaced with GVRP.
Need suggestions.

- When GVRP is disabled that also applies to all interfaces , so there will be no impact ,

Hi Marce,
So I can simply connect the CBS switch in the production environment with GVRP disabled on it and it will not impact anything.

Hi Marce,
Sorry for late response.
Thanks for your support. I connected the switch and the uplink was up without any impact.
However, after connecting the CBS switch with my core switch 4500CX-16, there was no reachability between them.
Uplinks were configured as trunk on both sides but still the management IP address was not reachable.
Any idea what could be the issue.
