Help needed Configuring SG300 via Macbook Mid 2012 OSX

Hi,

I need some guidance/help as I am new in the world of configuring switches.

I purchased the switch in order to setup a Ravenna AES67 network (Audio over internet protocol). For this I need to acces the administration page in order to upload a "Configuration File" however if I type in my webbrowers 192.168.1.254 it does not open the page.

All the procedures I found on the net are based on accessing the switch using a PC, I did not find any instruction using a Apple Mac.

Can somebody show me how to?

 I don't believe this due PC or Mac.

First off, did you checked if you have IP on the same range as the switch?

Can you ping the switch?

Now how do I "ping" and how do I set the IP address in the "same" range.

Same range means 192.168.1.10 for example.

I'm considering you are connecting your notebook on the switch directly.

After doing this open up a command line prompt and type ping 192.168.1.254.
