IP PBX [Asterisk / Elastix] + SG300 Issues

Hi,

 

We have SG300 Switches installed in our office. Having Firmware version 1.3.0.62. Default VLAN 1 is configured only. Switch are around 2 years old and are working fine without any issue except this

 

For past 2-3 weeks we are facing issues with our IP PBX as inbound & outbound calls are distorted, noisy, calls getting disconnected every 2-3 minutes. These issues occur randomly within a week and not more than 30 days. Issue started occurring on both Inbound (extension to extension call) and outbound calls

 

FXS & FXO (trunks, analog phones) are connected to the same switch as of IP PBX Server. For testing, we have connected one 7960 to the same switch in order to be confirm if the issue lies with Switch or at IP PBX end.

 

Need help in diagnosing the real cause of the issue

Hello,

 

You may start with upgrading the firmware of the switch, as it is a very old one. Most probably the boot code will also have to be upgraded. 

Then a packet capture can be made on the switch to found more details on why the calls are being disconnected, from which side and if you can hear the noise on the switch side as well.

If you have a log from the PBX, you can also paste it here for review.
